Hi there! I'm Julie Renee, but my friends call me "Jewels." I have the best job in the world: I photograph people in love. What could be more fun than that?
I get to make great friends with fab-tastic people, hang out with them, squeal and squee over stories of their proposal and their vision for their wedding day, and then take photos of them being their fun, incredible selves. I'm serious people...BEST. JOB. EVER.
I believe that photography shouldn't just be "capturing" images...it's not just about pressing a button at the right time and understanding the technicals of lighting and composition and exposure. It's about creating art that tells the story of you. Of your moments. Of your personality. Of your love. It's about knowing (and loving) my clients well enough to do justice to that story. When my clients (my "muses") feel comfortable with me as a friend, they show me their truest form of who they are. And I see all of the beauty and spirit and love and sweetness that their loved ones see in them. And THAT, my friends, produces some pretty sweet images.
